Biography, the short short version: I was born and raised in Honolulu, HI; at 17 I moved to Tacoma, WA for college, eventually earning a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I enjoy literature, knife collecting, the arts, target sports, foreign languages, travel, juggling, and well-behaved computers. Taiko: I saw my first performance ever during college (home for summer vacation), having tagged along with some friends to a Taiko festival; it was fantastic, I was hooked. I attended more Taiko performances over the years, but had no idea of how one could actually get involved with a group. Being able to take part in the classes offered by SKT was a great and unexpected opportunity. I discovered that in addition to being something I enjoyed watching, Taiko was something that I really, really enjoyed doing. I am very happy to be able to continue playing as an apprentice member.
